By evaporating a very thin metal layer of zinc and aluminum on the surface of the film, a zinc-aluminum metallized capacitor film with excellent self-healing properties can be obtained.
A major feature of metallized films is their self-healing properties, that is, when a breakdown occurs somewhere, the short-circuit current melts and evaporates the metal film around the breakdown site and restores its non-energizing properties, thus significantly reducing the penetration of paper or films. The impact of conductive defects and weaknesses on breakdown strength, thereby enhancing the working field strength.
The thickness of the metal layer is generally 5nm~50nm. The thickness of metal layers in the world can range from 1nm to 500nm, but from the perspective of heat resistance, 1nm to 100nm is preferred, and from the perspective of electrical properties, 5nm to 50nm is preferred.
Under the same conditions of evaporated metal, the greater the thickness δ of the coating, the smaller the square resistance value (Ω/□), the smaller the resistance R, and the greater the current it can carry, but the self-healing performance becomes worse.
The zinc-aluminum metallized film adopts edge thickening evaporation method, which greatly reduces the contact resistance of the gold-sprayed layer and core of the film capacitor and enhances the quality of the capacitor.
