How to distinguish OPP film from BOPP film
Both OPP and BOPP films can be used as protective films, but do you know how to distinguish them? Let's follow my steps and take a look.
1. Opp is called oriented polypropylene, which means that the film can be printed and compounded by stretching the film. According to the coating online understanding, the general material structure mainly has two types: transparent and non transparent, transparent is mainly opp/cpp, non transparent is opp/vmcpp, because of the poor thermal sealing of OPP, most of them are sealed by ultrasonic.
2. BOPP is biaxially oriented polypropylene, which means that the film is stretched horizontally and vertically. It has good heat shrinkage performance, general heat sealing property, low edge strength, and will not be used for bag making. The commonly used BOPP films include: General biaxial tensile polypropylene film, heat sealed two-way tensile polypropylene film, cigarette packaging film, biaxial tensile polypropylene pearlescent film, bidirectional tensile polypropylene metallization film, extinction film, book copying film, laser molding film, anti-counterfeiting film and paper ball film.
3. BOPP film is made by the co extrusion of polypropylene particles into sheet, and then stretched in two directions. Due to the tensile orientation, the film has good physical stability, mechanical strength, air tightness, high transparency and glossiness, toughness and wear resistance. It is the most widely used printing film at present. According to the on-line coating knowledge, the thickness of this film is 20-40 μ m and the most widely used is 20 μ M. BOPP is generally used as the outer film of composite film, such as moisture resistance, transparency, strength, stiffness and printing property after compounding with polyethylene film, which is suitable for packing dry food. Because the BOPP has non-polar surface, high crystallinity and low surface free energy, its printing performance is poor, and the adhesion of ink and adhesive is poor. Surface treatment is required before printing and compounding.
BOPP film is suitable for various packaging, printing, composite, aluminum plating, etc., such as cigarette packaging film. It is widely used in the packaging materials fields of food, medicine, daily light industry, clothing, cigarette, etc., and is used as the base material of composite film. It is not only replacing traditional paper packaging in many occasions, but also replacing PE, PP, PVC and other ordinary packaging films in many packaging fields.
5. OPP film is mainly used for packaging bags and other materials to form composite materials, and single film OPP is mostly used to package lightweight products such as disposable paper cups.
